Clitoral vibrator

Clitoral vibrator

Clitoral Vibrators are sex toys designed for stimulating the clitoris, to achieve sexual pleasure and orgasm. Clitoral vibrators are created for massaging the clitoris, and are not penetrating sex toys, although the shape of some vibrators allows for penetration and the stimulation of inner erogenous zones.

Discretion is often a useful feature for a sex toy, so clitoral vibrators that look like ordinary objects at first glance are also available. Clitoral vibrators have been designed to resemble lipsticks, mobile telephones, sponges, and many other everyday items.

Types

While most vibrators are suitable for clitoral stimulation, there are a few distinct types of vibrator designed exclusively for this purpose:

  • Hands-free. Clitoral vibrators of this type can be used to stimulate the clitoris and labia. They are held in place by straps or a harness, freeing the wearer's hands during use. Butterfly strap-ons, vibrating panties, and cock rings are all examples of hands-free clitoral vibrators.
  • Butterfly strap-ons are small sex toys, usually made in the shape of a butterfly, flower or animal. Its adjustable straps are worn on the woman's waist and hips.
  • Vibrating panties are a piece of lingerie with a vibrating element attached for intense, localized vibration. They are usually remote controlled, and can be worn discreetly under normal clothing.
  • Cock rings feature a vibrating bullet, to stimulate the clitoris during intercourse. This clitoral vibrator and erection enhancer in one single device is intended for couples' pleasure.
  • Manual. Manual vibrators come in a wide variety of designs. Some manual vibrators are powered from wall sockets, such as the Hitachi Magic Wand. This makes them somewhat less convenient, but generally allows the vibrator to offer more intense stimulation and better durability. At the other end of the spectrum are small battery operated vibrators that can be worn on a finger, which is suited for couples' play.
