Sniper's Badge ( _de. Scharfschützenabzeichen) is a German military award instituted on August 20, 1944 to commemorate troops who fought as snipers. It was worn on the right sleeve above all the other insignias. The insignia depicts an eagle's head between two green oak leaves including a brown acorn on an oval brown badge. The eagles eye and beak were made of yellow cotton the feathers were of white cotton. The award was bestowed in three classes. The third class was awarded for 20 kills (no trim), the second class (with silver trim) for 40 kills and the first class (with golden trim) for 60 kills.
