Offense efficiency rating

In basketball statistics, Offensive Efficiency Rating (OER) is the average amount of points scored by a basketball player per shot taken. This includes missed field goals as well as free throws. As of 2006, Dwight Howard leads the NBA in OER with 1.72 points per shot.[citation needed]
