Woodeaton (aka Wood Eaton) is an Oxfordshire village and civil parish near Islip and north-east of Oxford, England.

There was a Romano-Celtic temple here, and probably a Romano-British settlement and shrine too.

There was originally a Saxon church here. Richard Taverner, the 16th-century bible translator, is buried in the churchyard.

James Sadler, the first English balloonist, landed near the village after his first ascent from Christ Church Meadow in Oxford on 4 October 1784, travelling a distance of some six miles and reaching a height of about 3,600 feet.

Woodeaton Manor is located here and there is a quarry to the north-west, which is a good site for fossils.

Woodeaton Wood is around a kilometer to the south-east, on the south-west side of Drun's Hill. The village of Noke is 1.5 km north-east, past Prattle Wood.
