Welland Canal Route

The Welland Canal Route is an Ontario Tourist Route designated along provincial highways and Regional Roads in Niagara Region along the Welland Canal.

The trail starts at the Queen Elizabeth Way/Highway 406 interchange in St. Catherines, OntarioFact|date=February 2007, travelling south to Highway 58 in Thorold, Ontario. The Welland Canal Route travells under the canal, following Highway 58 to the intersection of Highway 20, Niagara RR 82 (Allanport Road), and Niagara RR 20 (Canboro Road). The route turns along Canboro Road, back over the Canal to Highway 406. It then turns south along Highway 406 to Main Street in Welland, Ontario. It turns east and goes under the Canal again, following Highway 140/Highway 58A, coming to the intersection/interchange with Niagara RR 525. It turns west onto Highway 58A (Townline Road), and travels over the canal one last time, turning south at Highway 58, and travelling south along the highway to its terminus with Niagara RR 3 (Formerly part of Highway 3) in Port Colborne, Ontario.
