"Restless Knights" is the sixth short subject starring American slapstick comedy team the Three Stooges. The trio made a total of 190 shorts for Columbia Pictures between 1934 and 1959.

Plot

Set in Medieval times, the Stooges learn they are of royal blood. They also learn of a plot by the prime minister to kidnap the queen. The Stooges become the queen's royal guards and vow to save the kingdom. However, they are sentenced to die when they fail to prevent the abduction and are blamed for the crime.

Notes

*As the Stooges' father slaps all three of them for their misbehavior, look closely, and you will find the father put Larry's candle out at the same time.
* After the Queen is abducted, Curly uses his talent by making childish faces and gestures in front of the enemy soldiers. He taunts them, individually, into chasing him back into the cave where the other stooges are waiting to ambush them. This type of skit was used in later films (usually when they got involved with gangsters).
*The title "Restless Knights" is an obvious pun on "restless nights," or chronic insomnia. [Solomon, Jon. (2002) "The Complete Three Stooges: The Official Filmography and Three Stooges Companion", p. 59; Comedy III Productions, Inc., ISBN 0971186804]
