This is a chronological list of professional wrestlers that have been WCW Hardcore Champion. The WCW Hardcore Championship was a professional wrestling title competed for in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The title was created on November 21, 1999, [cite web|url=http://www.100megsfree4.com/wiawrestling/pages/wcw/wcwhard.htm|title=WCW World Hardcore Title History|publisher=Wrestling Information Archive|accessdate=2008-03-07] and the first champion was Norman Smiley, who defeated Brian Knobbs to win the title.[cite web|url=http://pwwew.net/champs/wcwhardcore.htm|title=WCW Hardcore Champions|accessdate=2008-03-07|publisher=PWWEW.net] The title was vacated (unoccupied) on January 21, 2001 after the final champion, Meng, left WCW and appeared at the World Wrestling Federation's (WWF) Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, vacating the championship in the process.][cite web|url=http://www.pwwew.net/ppv/wwf/january/2001.htm|title=Royal Rumble 2001 Results|accessdate=2008-03-07|publisher=PWWEW.net] Two months later on March 26, 2001, the championship was retired after the WWF bought all the assets of WCW.
