"Fire and Glory" is Kardinal Offishall's third album, and his first since "Firestarter Vol. 2: F Word Theory" was shelved, after MCA Records folded in 2003. The album was distributed by Virgin/EMI in Canada only. The long-awaited album by Kardinal featured collaborations with popular artists, such as Busta Rhymes, Vybz Kartel, and Estelle. This was Kardinal's follow-up to "", and it was also his first album in four years.

The album produced three singles and videos in Canada. "Heads Up", "Feel Alright" and "Everyday (Rudebwoy)" are the hit singles, with the latter receiving heavy rotation on MuchMusic, and eventually accolades, to go along with the heavy airplay. In June 2006, Kardinal was awarded with three MuchMusic Video Awards for "Everyday (Rudebwoy)", including Best Director. Kardinal explained why he chose "Fire and Glory" as the name of the album:
