Sarıyar Dam

Sarıyar Dam is 23 km north of Nallıhan town 125 km west of Ankara which is capital city of the country in central Turkey and located 60 km upstream of Gökçekaya Dam on the Sakarya River which runs into the Black Sea. It was completed in 1956. Total power output from the hydroelectric facility is 160 MW (four facilities of 40 MW each).
