Gerhard Glogowski (born February 11 1943 in Hanover) is a German politician (SPD).

Glogowski started his political career in 1972 as Mayor of the city district of Waggum in Brunswick. He changed in 1976 upon the chair as Lord Mayor of Brunswick until 1981 and again from 1986 until 1990.In the meantime he was in elected in 1978 as an MP of Lower Saxony. He stayed as a MP until 2004.

After the state election in 1990 where the SPD, with Gerhard Schröder as candidate for the Minister-President, came out top, he was Interior minister of Lower Saxony from June 21 1990 until October 27 1998. And he succeeded Gerhard Schröder as Minister-President of Lower Saxony from October 28 1998 until November 26 1999.
