York Regional Road 12 is a York Regional Road running in Central York Region, Ontario. York Regional Road 12 is locally known as Don Mills Road, Leslie Street, and The Queensway South.

Don Mills Road

North of Steeles, Don Mills Road continues north into York Region, and ends at John Street, near the former German Mills. This road then becomes Leslie Street, also referred to as York Regional Road 12. North of Highway 407 (partial exit 81), Leslie Street resumes its original alignment as the former Second Concession of Markham Township, and goes through Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, and Keswick. The former Don Mills Road in York Region is now known as Woodbine Avenue, and reaches Keswick, in Georgina via Whitchurch-Stouffville.

The portion of York Regional Road 12 north of John Street when Don Mills Road turns into Leslie Street. This segment follows the same direction and alignment as the Toronto section. There is a small jog in the road at Stouffville Road in Richmond Hill, and two sets of lights were installed in the summer of 2006 to ease the morning traffic congestion. Leslie extends many kilometres northward to the town of Keswick where it is renamed The Queensway South.

The Queensway South

The portion of York Regional Road 12 north of York Regional Road 32 is referred to as The Queensway South. Along this road, there are commercial development of the community of Keswick. The road passes through the heart of this community and turns to The Queensway North at Church Street. The corner of Church and The Queensway is the historic centre of Keswick, therefore the road is considered one of the most arterial routes in Georgina, Ontario. When The Queensway North crosses Old Homestead Rd.(York Regional Road 78), the road loses its York Regional Road 12 identity.
