Bayou Place

Bayou Place is an 130,000 square foot [ [http://www.houstontheaterdistrict.org/ Houston Theater District] retrieved March 18, 2007.] entertainment complex that houses multiple theaters, bars and restaurants located in downtown Houston, Texas. The complex was the former Albert Thomas convention center located in the Houston Theater District at 500 Texas Street. Dining and Entertainment

The Following are located within the complex:

* The Angelika Film [ [http://www.angelikafilmcenter.com/ Angelika Film Center ] ] Center and Cafe offers dinner and a movie. They show a variety of mainstream as well as art films.
* The Hard Rock Cafe is a popular global chain that offers meals with an atmosphere surrounded by plenty of Rock and Roll memorabilia.
* Minaglone's is Italian trattoria, diner-friendly restaurant that features an open kitchen and an elegant interior.
* Mosaic is an upscale cocktails and dining. The venue features a stunning 1,500 square foot “floating balcony” overlooking the Theater District.
* ROCBAR lists itself as a "Rock and Roll Bar" featuring a stage for live events with a 20-foot video screen. [ [http://www.rocbartx.com/ ROCBAR :: Houston, TX ] ]
* Sake' Lounge is an upscale Sushi and Sake' lounge.
* Slick Willie's is a pool hall that has a bar and has TVs for viewing a variety of sports.
* Verizon Wireless Theater The theater is very versatile and can be arranged in a variety of seating configurations: Theater style with rows of chairs (capacity 2400); cabaret style with cocktail tables for four (capacity 1930); general admission - standing (capacity 2,815); banquet style with 72' round tables of 10 (capacity 750). A four-tiered riser system on the main floor creates an intimate cabaret/dinner theater feel. The permanent 56' x 40' stage is equipped with ample sound and light.
