CITY College, Affiliated Institution of the University of Sheffield

CITY College was founded in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1989. In March 1997 CITY became an Affiliated university of the University of Sheffield. This recognition demonstrates the unique character of the conditions and prospects of the Sheffield-City partnership. It is worth noting that this is the first time the University of Sheffield has awarded affiliation status to an academic institution outside the UK. In 2003, CITY and Sheffield jointly established the South East European Research Centre (SEERC), a non for profit research centre in Thessaloniki, Greece.

CITY College offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees leading to the University of Sheffield degrees. There are three departments: the Department of Business Administration and Economics, the Psychology Department and the Computer Science Department. In total CITY College offers five Bachelor’s degrees (Management, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Computer Science, Psychology), eight Master’s programmes (Management, Human Resource Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Leisure and Tourism Management, Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, Banking and Finance, Psychology and Counselling, Software Engineering and Telecommunications) and an Executive MBA programme with 4 different tracks (Marketing, General Management, Finance, Logistics Management). The Executive MBA programme is offered in three different countries (Greece, Serbia and Romania).

CITY is located in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is a centre of academic excellence with a student body with more than 15 different countries of origin. This unique mixture presents CITY with a true international profile.

CITY is accredited and recognized by the British Accreditation Council for Independent further and higher Education (BAC) and the British Computer Society (BCS).
