The Sandy Post

"The Sandy Post" is a weekly newspaper, published in Sandy, Oregon, United States. The paper, founded in 1938, serves the communities of Sandy, Boring, the Villages at Mount Hood and the surrounding areas. The newspaper is owned by Community Newspapers/Pamplin Media Group, a company of Robert B. Pamplin, Jr.

The newspaper is the primary newspaper published in Sandy and the special districts in the Mount Hood Corridor between Boring and Government Camp.

Mark Garber is the newspaper's current publisher and vice president of Community Newspapers. Steve Brown is the newspaper's current editor/general manager. Garth Guibord covers the Villages at Mount Hood, business and the Oregon Trail School District. Recent alumni include former editor/general manager Marcus Hathcock, communications director at East Hill Church in Gresham; the first former editor/general manager Lloyd Woods, associate editor of the "Portland Business Journal"; sports journalist Mike Cade; and former reporter Eric Hendricksen, the last editor of the now-defunct "East County News".

In 2005, the newspaper received the Oregon Society of Professional Journalists' first place award for comprehensive coverage of the Fouad Kaady police shooting.
