Lecture Room

Lecture Room

"Lecture Room" (Chinese: 百家讲坛; Pinyin: "Bǎijiā Jiǎngtán") is a popular TV program of China Central Television, mostly featured on CCTV-10, which invites scholars to provide lectures on various disciplines. In its early days, areas featured included biology, physics, economics, history and literature, with lecturers from around the world. Its focus has gradually changed, and recent programs have focussed on Chinese history and Chinese culture. It was first broadcast on 9 July 2001.
