Richard Avina Renteria (born December 25, 1961 in Harbor City, California) is currently the first base coach for the San Diego Padres. During his playing career, he was usually called "Rich", but now goes by "Rick".

Renteria was an infielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1986), Seattle Mariners (1987-88) and Florida Marlins (1993-94). While playing for the Florida Marlins, he was nicknamed "The Secret Weapon" for his versatility on the field and his timely pinch hitting. In five major league seasons, he played in 184 games and had 422 at-bats and a .237 batting average. He spent the by|2007 season as the manager of the Portland Beavers, a minor league affiliate of the Padres, before being promoted to a major league coaching job.
