"California Crossing" is the eighth Fu Manchu album release, released under Mammoth Records. It features Scott Hill (vocals and guitar), Bob Balch (guitar), Brant Bjork (drums) and Brad Davis (bass). California Crossing is the last album to date featuring Brant Bjork on drums. The song "Mongoose" is a new version of the same named song on Fu Manchu's 1999 album "Eatin' Dust"

A music video was produced for "Squash That Fly," which saw moderate airplay upon release.
