Waterford Youth Arts

Waterford Youth Arts

Waterford Youth Arts developed from a small scale community-based movement in 1980's Waterford, Ireland.

Waterford City itself developed from Danish/Viking beginnings over a thousand years ago. Although it prospered for centuries as one of the main ports in Ireland, it was in the 1970's and 80's that the area was badly hit with the decline of traditional industry and sources of employment.
