Milo Kerrigan

Milo Kerrigan

Milo Kerrigan is a fictional boxer created and played by Australian comedian Shaun Micallef on the Australian sketch show "Full Frontal".

Milo Kerrigan, also known as "The Brownish Bomber", is supposedly a welterweight champion who has experienced 27 knockouts through his career, as well as the 2 that he inflicted on his opponents and has had his face horribly disfigured due to all the blows he has had in the face. On top of this, he has a speech impediment due to damaged vocal cords that make what he says incomprehensible. Everybody around him seems to be able to understand what he says and communicates back to him as if he were a normal person. A memorable sketch in "Full Frontal" is when Micallef plays "Nightline" host Jim Waley crossing to the 'sportsdesk' in Melbourne with Milo- both almost totally incomprehensible (Micallef plays Waley with a very low bass that is near-impossible to comprehend) and making jokes and bantering about the days sport- after which they comment about how professional the other is.

Milo has written his own song ("Fafenefenoiby"), performed it in a Bob Dylan style video clip ("Subterranean Homesick Blues"), was a spokesman for the Holden Statesman, had his own clothing line, two movies (one of which was a violent send-up of "The Adventures of Milo and Otis"), and was a frequent guest on Phil's and Parko's good sports as well as an etiquette show. Kerrigan also performed a song with singer Margaret Urlich. He has his own segment in "The Incompleat Shaun Micallef" DVD.

Recently Milo was seen on Newstopia working as a financial adviser under the name of Miles Kerrigan.
