Walter Fullwood

Walter Fullwood

Walter Fullwood (February 8, 1907 — January 4, 1988) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who played for Derbyshire in 1946. He was born in Holmewood.

Fullwood debuted with a duck in May 1946 against Leicestershire, and was never on the winning side of a County Championship match during his short Derbyshire first-class career.

Fullwood, the first attempt at finding some new wicket-keeping talent following the end of the Second World War, did not last long in the Derbyshire team, and was out by the end of the year, as Derbyshire finished third-bottom of the Championship table. Fullwood played most of his matches in the tailend of the batting lineup, along with team-mate, England Test bowler Bill Copson.
