Information Sharing Council

The Information Sharing Council (ISC) was established by Executive Order 13388, designed to be consistent with section 1016 of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRTPA).
The mission of the council is to provide advice and information concerning the establishment of an interoperable terrorism information among appropriate agencies, and to perform the duties described in the IRTPA. The council is responsible for the establishment of an information-sharing environment to facilitate automated sharing of terrorism information.
The ISC is chaired by a Program Manager, appointed by the President for a two year period.
