Little Rock Christian Academy (LRCA) is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory Christian day school committed to "excellence in the pursuit of truth from a Christ-centered worldview," located on Highway 10 in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Arkansas Non-Public Schools Accrediting Association.
Academics
LRCA has a 14:1 Student/Teacher Ratio. In 2004, over 12% of the 7th grade class qualified for the Duke Talent Identification Program. Students' test scores are consistently in the top 86% nationally.
Athletics
LRCA is a member of the Arkansas Activities Association. The athletic program at LRCA includes baseball, basketball, cheer, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis-one of the best in the state, track, and volleyball. The LRCA Varsity football team finished the 2008 season with an impressive 13-1 finishing runner up in the 5A state finals. The LRCA Varsity soccer team is currently second in 5A with a 16-3 record.
LRC made school history when they made it to the state championship (lost against Greenwood) with a perfect record, going into the state championship, of 13-0 in 2007. Michael Dyer and Tyler Weddle were both nominated for the Lander's Award from KATV. Michael Dyer was chosen as EA Sports Sophomore of the Year.
