Bontnewydd, Gwynedd

Bontnewydd is a small village located on the A487 three kilometres south of Caernarfon, Wales.

The village lies close to the River Gwyrfai, three kilometres from its outflow into Foryd Bay. It is served by Bontnewydd railway station, an unstaffed halt on the Welsh Highland Railway.

The village's name translates into English as "new bridge". The village has two small supermarkets and a pub called The Newborough Arms.
