Stamford University (Bengali: স্টামফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in the Bangladesh. It was established in 1994 by the Private University Act. The university belongs to Stamford University & College Group. Stamford University is currenlty ranked as one of the top private varsities in Bangladesh. It is also having the highest number of students (around 18000) among all the private varsities in Bangladesh. At present, This group has 160 campuses Fact|date=May 2008 in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia and America. Credit transfer

Stamford university provide credit transfer facility for its students to different reputed foreign universities. The university has already transferred more than 100 students of BBA, MBA, CSE and CSI programs to different universities of the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia. It has arranged joint degree programs and credit transfer programs with Claflin University, State University of New York and Monash University, Australia.

Criticism and controversy
