Ain't It Fun is a song originally written by Peter Laughner and Gene O'Connor (later known as Cheetah Chrome) for the proto-punk band Rocket from the Tombs. A live version of the track recorded in the early 70s was eventually made available on the compilation "The Day the Earth Met the Rocket from the Tombs". The punk band The Dead Boys, featuring Rocket from the Tombs alumni Cheetah Chrome and Johnny Blitz, recorded it for their 1978 album "We Have Come for Your Children"; it is the 10th and final track on the album. Guns N' Roses also covered this song on their 1993 album ""The Spaghetti Incident?"" (it was later included on their greatest hits compilation as well), as did the Rollins Band on their 2001 album "A Nicer Shade of Red". A reunited Rocket from the Tombs released their own studio version of the song on 2004's "Rocket Redux".
