The Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George (Serbian Cyrillic: Саборни храм Светог великомученика Георгија) is a head church of Serbian Orthodox eparchy of Bačka. It is located in Novi Sad, capital of Serbian province Vojvodina; next to the eparchy offices in Bishop's Palace, in Nikole Pašića Street.

History

Features

The Novi Sad Orthodox Cathedral is dedicated to the Saint George. Inside the church there are 33 icons on the iconostasis, historical pictures above both choirs, as well as two large throne icons, painted by painter Paja Jovanović, which are considered to be his best ecclesiastical works.
