There were six generations of the American Marshall Field family whose fortune began when Marshall Field opened a department store in Chicago, Illinois.

The first name is sometimes spelled with one "L".

*Marshall Field, Jr., married to Albertine Huck, the parents of Henry Field, Marshall Field III and Gwendolyn Mary Field, married to Sir Archibald Charles Edmonstone, of Duntreath, 6th Baronet (1894-1954), and had issue, including Sir Archibald Bruce Edmonstone, of Duntreath, 7th Baronet, married to Juliet Elizabeth Deakin, the father of Elyssa Juliet Edmonstone (born September 11, 1973), married in 1999 to Archduke Sigismund, Grand Duke of Tuscany, and had issue
