Smith's Bible Dictionary

Smith's Bible Dictionary

Smith's Bible Dictionary is a 19th century Bible dictionary containing upwards of four thousand entries. This dictionary is named after its editor, William Smith, a noted English lexicographer and classical scholar.

The original dictionary was published as a three volume set in England in 1863. This was followed in 1884 by an expanded four volume version which was published in the United States.

Due to the age of the original publications, they have entered into the public domain. Several derivative, commercial versions have been made over the years, although some of these are not available in the public domain.
