Komagaku

Komagaku

Komagaku () is a form of Gagaku, or court music, that appeared in Japan around the beginning of the Nara period (710-794). It originated in Korea [cite web | url=http://ailab.kyungpook.ac.kr/kmd/korea_music.htm|title=About Korea: Culture: Performing Arts: Music] and is often played as a dance accompaniment.
