Qubad Talabani is the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) representative in the United States.He is the second son of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.

Early life

Qubad was raised in United Kingdom in exile by his grandparents, in a home filled with Kurdish intellectuals and political activists. Qubad tried to avoid Kurdish politics, instead working as a mechanic on cars. After graduating from Britain’s Surrey University in 2000 with a degree in automobile engineering, he turned away from the automotive industry. Representative to the KRG

He moved to Washington, D.C. and started working as a representative for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan together with Barham Salih. He became representative to the KRG following the forming of the Democratic Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan and the establishment of the Kurdish National Assembly.
