Hartshill is a township within Stoke-upon-Trent in the city of Stoke-on-Trent in the English county of Staffordshire.

Hartshill was developed by Herbert Minton as a dormitory suburb of Stoke. The ecclesiastical parish was created out of the parish of Stoke in 1843 [cite book| first=Richard |last=Talbot |title=The Church and Ancient Parish of Stoke-upon-Trent |publisher=Webberley Ltd |place=Hanley |year=1969 |isbn=0950075000 |pages=Page 57] when Holy Trinity church was built by George Gilbert Scott at the expense of Herbert Minton. The apsidal ended chancel was completed at a later date c1870. Dominant in Hartshill is the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, which was formed out of the City General Hospital, the North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary, the North Staffordshire Orthopedic Hospital and large central Accident and Emergency, Outpatients and Pathology Departments.
