"Hemimysis anomala", the "bloody-red mysid", is a species of mysid shrimp about an 1½ in in length and native to eastern European seas. This is another invasive species competing for zooplankton in the Great Lakes (the invasive zebra mussels and quagga mussels also feed on zooplankton).
