Balanced parenting may refer to:
* an effort towards a balanced approach in the family, regarding a balance between different aspects such as:* pedagogical means and aims in raising children, such as protection and control, discipline and tolerance:* the needs and interests of all family members, also in view of a lifestyle regarding work-life balance
* a choice of (approximately) equal sharing of parenting responsibilities between the mother and the father within the family
* an agreement shared parenting among single, separated or divorced parents, especially in view of settlements on custody rights in divorce or separation proceedings, and advocated by fathers' rights movements
