Gu Yuan

Gu Yuan

Gu Yuan (zh-s|顾原, born May 9, 1982) is a Chinese hammer thrower.

She won the 2002 IAAF World Cup in Madrid, finished fourth at the 2003 World Championships in Paris and tenth at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. At the Asian Games she won a gold medal in 2002 and a silver in 2006. At the Asian Championships she won gold medals in 1998, 2002 and 2003 and a silver in 2005.

Her personal best throw is 72.36 metres, achieved in July 2004 in Padova.
