"Witchy Woman" is a song written by Don Henley and Bernie Leadon, and recorded by the American rock band Eagles. Released as the second single from the band's debut album "Eagles", it reached #9 on the Billboard pop singles chart and is the only single from the album to feature Henley on lead vocals. Henley stated in an interview that the lyrics he wrote were written when he had the flu and was 'semi-delirious'.

Trivia

* "Witchy Woman" was referenced in an episode of the television program "Seinfeld", where Elaine wished for this song to be her and her then-boyfriend's "song." She tells Jerry that Witchy Woman is her new favorite song. Jerry says he's never heard of the song. Elaine then begins singing, "Ooh, ooh, witchy woman", to which Jerry replies, "Oh, you mean 'Witch-ay Woman,'" to emphazise the way it's pronounced by Henley when he sings.
* In a first-season episode of "Dharma & Greg", Dharma's mother, Abby (played by Mimi Kennedy), reveals that, because she dated Don Henley at one time, she is "pretty sure" she's the inspiration for "Witchy Woman".
* The song was used in an episode of the CBS drama "Cold Case", in a scene set in 1972 (the year the song was released).
*An episode of Hannah Montana referenced this song, being titled "Ooh, Ooh, Itchy Woman."
