USS Aries (PHM-5)

USS "Aries" (PHM-5) was the fifth ship of her class of hydrofoils operated by the U.S. Navy. "Pegasus" class vessels were designed for high speed and mobility, and carried a powerful (for their size) armament. "Aries" was named for the constellation.

USS Aries PHM-5 Hydrofoil Memorial, Inc. obtained "Aries" for rehabilitation as a memorial located on the Grand River in Brunswick, Missouri at coord|39|25|15|N|93|7|47|W|region:US. All other PHMs in the class have been scrapped.
