=Archery=

Nabieva led her first round match through 11 arrows, and outshot her opponent by five points in the last three arrows, but a four-shot stretch of 2-5-6-5 in between doomed her to defeat.

Women's individual:

Nazarov had won a bronze medal at the 2003 Asian Championships, and his personal best would have put him in contention for making the final, so being unable to post a mark was unfortunate for him.

Women's Marathon:

Tajikistan sent one boxer to Athens. He lost his first bout.

Babikov was only one point away from to qualifying for Tajikistan's first ever Olympic final appearance.

Freestyle

The four Tajik wrestlers in Athens put up a solid 5-5 record, and while none managed to win their group and progress, three secured top 10 positions.
