Dollis Junior School is a Junior School in Mill Hill, in the London Borough of Barnet. The school opened in 1939.[1] The students wear green uniform. For both, they either wear a white polo shirt or a white sleeved/short sleeved shirt. The girls would use either a green V-necked cardigan/jumper with a green stripy tie (only if using a white sleeved shirt), a green skirt with black tights/socks or black trousers and school shoes. The boys would use a green V-necked jumper with a stripy tie (only if wearing a white sleeved shirt), black trousers and school shoes. The headteacher is Mr Dowland, and the deputy is Mr Preston. Dollis Junior School has a highly successful music department which features the Dollis Deep Pans - an excellent steelband taught by Rachel Hayward which has won awards at the National Festival of Music For Youth, toured Slovenia and performed at Lord's Cricket Ground. Former headteacher Derek Heasman received an OBE for services to education.[2] He would get someone famous to come in every Monday morning, even the Prince of Wales came.
