Shaunaka Rishi Das

Shaunaka Rishi Das (born 18 February 1961) is a Hindu cleric. He is the Director of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, [ [http://www.ochs.org.uk/faculty/admin_staff.html Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies] ] and (since 1982) an ordained priest in the Vaishnava tradition. Vaishnava and Comparative theology, and the development of education in contemporary Hinduism are two of his main topics of interest.

He was Chairman of the Northern Ireland Interfaith Forum (1998-2002), and currently serves as an exectuive member. He is also an executive member of ISKCON's Ministry of Educational Development. Rishi Das was editor of the ISKCON Communications Journal, [ [http://www.iskcon.com/icj/info.html ISKCON Communications Journal] ] from 1993-2006. As Convenor of the ISKCON Interfaith Commission (1997-present) he lead the consultation which resulted in the publication of ISKCON's Statement on Relating with People of Faith.
