The arena is the home arena of theBrynäs IF ice hockey team.The arena was built in 1967, named "Gavlerinken". In 2005 the municipality of Gävle sold the arena to Brynäs IF which rebuilt it and sold the naming rights to
Leaf Candy Company , manufacturer of theLäkerol pastille s, and it reopened as "Läkerol Arena" on November 13, 2006.In 2007 Läkerol arena hosted a semi-final of
