Jindera is a town in the central part of the Riverina and situated about 19 kilometres North from Albury and 32 kilometres south east from Walbundrie. History

During the nineteenth century Jindera saw a substantial population of German Australians who had migrated to the Riverina in the 1860s, principally from South Australia. [Spennemann, Dirk H.R.
