2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival

The 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival was the 2007 edition of the Australian Youth Olympic Festival. It was held from 17-21 January 2007.

Of the 23 countries invited, 20 of them participated in the games. They were:

In 2007, the AYOF had 16 sporting events. These were:

* Canoe and Kayak at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Cycling at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Diving at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Figure skating at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Football at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Gymnastics at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Hockey at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Rowing at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Sailing at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Shooting at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival
*Short Track at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival

The opening ceremony

The AYOF 2007 Opening Ceremony was held on 17 January at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. It ran from 6:30pm - 8:30pm and was the only ticketed event for the AYOF. Ticket prices were:
*Adults:$17
*Concession: $11
*Family (2 adults & 2 children): $45

The opening ceremony was performed all by primary school and high school students from NSW government schools. Singers and instrumentalists were chosen from outstanding performers from Schools Spectacular 2006.
