Pasha Bahadur Disai

Pasha Bahadur Disai

Pasha Bahadur Disai was leader of the the Hamesha tribe of people of the Balakh region of Afghanistan circa 711-769. Pasha Bahadur Disai traced his ancestry to the Greek Satraps installed by Alexander the Great. Although most of the Hamesha people retained their ancient religious beliefs, Pasha Bahadur Disai allied with the Arab Muslims in their invasion of the Sindh regions during this period. The Sindhis and the Persians were the competing forces for the control of the Hamesha tribal homelands during his reign. The transit of Arabs and other peoples changed the culture and language of this unique tribe.
