Diplomatic missions of the Marshall Islands

Diplomatic missions of the Marshall Islands

The Republic of the Marshall Islands maintains a very small diplomatic network of only four embassies. Far removed from the rest of the world and with a population of around 62,000, the Marshall Islands cannot afford and does not require a large diplomatic network. Relations with major donors, such as the Taiwan, Japan and the United States of America are vital to the country's survival. As a consequence, each plays host to a Marshallese Embassy.
