Flavour Magazine

Flavour Magazine is a free bi-monthly urban entertainment and creative arts magazine that was founded out of a passionate belief that emerging and established creative talent both needs and deserves more opportunities to showcase their work.

The publication is targeted at 18–34 - year-old men and women of all colours, creeds and backgrounds that are into entertainment, art and fashion. Flavour Magazine is not only a valuable source of information, but also offers its readers insightful interviews and discussions on talented people from the world of music, art, TV, film, beauty and fashion and is characterised by its exclusive stunning photography and eye-catching design.

Flavour Magazine’s mission is to become the UK’s leading urban lifestyle brand offering an exciting and electric mix of music, art, fashion, interviews, gadgets, reviews and beautiful models.

Flavour reflects all that is urban and we aim to develop a brand that will not only be of interest to advertisers and sponsors but to form synergies with other brands that want to reach their target audience as well as the elusive urban youth and twenty-something’s. We will do this through our street team, internet, events and the magazine.

The publication

Fresh, young and innovative – Flavour Magazine isn’t sold on newsstands, it’s free and can be found in universities, clothes shops, record stores, coffee shops, hairdressers and at events in London and the M25 area. Flavour has a 100% pick up rate, that’s two to three times the pick up rate of anycompetitive publication.

2008 will be a year of increased brand awareness and circulation growth as we implement a number of initiatives to drive traffic to both the magazine and our advertising partners. These efforts combined with our website which features an amazing online multimedia edition of the publication will serve to make Flavour Magazine the UK’s bible for everything urban and creative whose independent and respected voice will continue to attract cool, creative, fashion conscious, young and sophisticated loyal readers through our editorial excellence, high production values and knowledge.

Events

Our event business continues to grow and offers us another fantastic opportunity to connect with our consumers. Flavour’s calendar girl search is an annual urban beauty pageant and concert where up-and-coming models are photographed for a poster calendar and compete for prizes in the pageant and established and up-and-coming UK artists perform. Yondie Murray was crowned Miss Flavour 2007. The event featured performances by Mr Midas, Ear Dis, Nathan, AG and Tug-a-War.
Breaking the Ice is a monthly R ‘n’ B and Hip Hop karaoke and live music night. This is Flavour’s way of supporting the UK music industry and continuing to showcase creative talent. Daniel Beddingfield has even performed on stage.

Flavour has an annual stand at The Nottinghill carnival, which attracts thousands of revellers each year.

Flavour Goes Live is a mix of networking, performance, fashion and then a party. The night opens with a speed networking session and cocktail reception and female models can strike a pose to have their picture taken and register their interest in being a contestant in Flavour’s 2008 calendar girl beauty pageant. AshLey Walters, MC Harvey, Romeo, Soweto Kinch, AG, May7ven and The Real Heat performed at the first event.
