The Nitrosomonadales are a small order of Proteobacteria. Like all Proteobacteria, they are gram-negative. They include Nitrosomonas, Nitrosospira, Gallionella (iron bacteria), and Spirillum. The species Spirillum minus causes Rat bite fever[1].
