Arnold Hamer (December 8, 1916 — November 3, 1993) was a cricketer who played for Derbyshire in English County Cricket. He also played as a footballer, playing eight games for York City in 1938. He was born and died in Huddersfield, Yorkshire.

Cricket career

A right handed opening batsman, Hamer made 15465 runs at 31.17 in 295 first class matches. He had a highest score of 227 and made 19 centuries. He started his career with Derbyshire late, aged 33. Hamer scored 1,000 runs in 10 consecutive seasons.
