Sir John Dixon Ikle Boyd
KCMG (bornJanuary 17 th1936 ) was the master of Churchill College, Cambridge from 1996 to 2006. He has also been the British ambassador to Japan, between 1992 and 1996.Along with
Lynda Chalker, Baroness Chalker of Wallasey , who was then the UK's Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs andMinister for Overseas Development , Sir John assisted the British delegation which participated in the firstTokyo International Conference on African Development in October 1993.
