Solesvara

The Solesvara temples were in honor of the Chola kings, who were believers in Shiva, the Hindu god.
* Aragalur: Solesvaran Temple (Thayinum nalla chozhiswaram?)
* Sengalipuram in Tiruvarur District,
* Tippirajapuram, near Kumbakonam
* Gangaikonda Cholapuram: Gangaikonda-solesvara Temple Rajendra Chola I
* Kalipatti / Mallasamudram: Soleeshwaran temple
* Bhatkal: Solesvara Temple
* Sangramanallur (Kolumam), Udumalaipettai: Choleshwara temple
* Periyakottai, Palani: Cholesvara temple
* Narttamalai: Vijayalaya Cholesvara
* Thanjavur: Rajarajesvara temple now called as Brihadeeswarar Temple
* Arrur near Melpadi, Vellore: Rajaraja Chola I erected a Siva temple called Arinjisvara as a tomb-shrine in memory of his grandfather Arinjaya Chola.
* Near Tiruchirapalli: Vijaya Choleswara Temple in honor of Vijayalaya Chola
* Begur Panchalingeswara Temple (Panchalingas - Nageswara, Kaleswara, Naga- reswara, Karneswara and Choleswara.)
* Rajendra Choleswara Aranthangi
* Sholinghur Natural lingam Choleswara or Sholeswara temple
* bhatkal include Khetapayya Narayana, Joshi Shankarnarayana and Choleshwara.
* Adityesvara at Kalandai

* Cholisvaram Udaiyar Temple, Tirappur, Pudukkottai District
* Chola temple Motupalle, Andra Pradesh

* Komganatha temple at Srinivasanallur (Parantaka I)
* Airavateswara temple at Darasuram (Rajaraja Chola II)
* Kamaparharesvara temple at Tirubuvanam (Kulothunga Chola III)

Similar to Solesvara, there are number of temples in praise of the Pandiya kings and they are called Pandisvara.
