Mount Minto is a lofty, mostly ice-free mountain rising to 4,165 metres, located 2.5 mi E of Mount Adam in the central portion of the Admiralty Mountains. Discovered in January 1841 by Capt. James Ross, who named it for the Earl of Minto, then First Lord of the Admiralty.
